The Federation of Albanian Doctors in Europe is following with interest and is concerned about the current situation of the spread of COVID-19 in Albania and Albanian territories. Wanting to contribute to the awareness of the Albanian public, we address all citizens and governments, political parties, public and private bodies, print and spoken press, public and private television, to ask you not to underestimate the importance of the situation and the risk of spreading the virus. 1. The Federation of Albanian Doctors in Europe called on Albanian citizens to return to the recommendations of the WHO, Institutes of Public Health, for wearing masks, distance and personal hygiene. 2. The Federation of Albanian Doctors in Europe recommends that masks become a necessary element of the movement of citizens, especially in closed places and its non-observance should be sanctioned by law. 3. The Federation of Albanian Doctors in Europe, recommends that the protocols set by the Ministry of Health be implemented without wasting time, as well as the reorganization of each economic and social sector, adhering to the conditions for virus prevention. 4. The Federation of Albanian Physicians in Europe recommends that tests be increased in the population and that contacts of Covid-19-positive patients be tracked in order to isolate and avoid further spread, using a well-designed strategy and including all public health actors in tracing these contacts. 5. The Federation of Albanian Doctors for Europe urgently demands that the state measures be reviewed in order to prevent catastrophes in Albanian countries. 6. The Federation of Albanian Doctors for Europe demands that there be maximum mobilization of medical personnel to fight COVID-19. 7.
The Federation of Albanian Doctors for Europe is ready to offer its assistance and expertise, in cooperation with the health experts of Albanian countries for the drafting of protocols that would facilitate the management of the COVID-19 pandemic. The sacrifices made by every citizen and the tireless work of the health personnel saved thousands of lives.
The Federation of Albanian Doctors calls on all compatriots to continue to be aware that the danger from Covid-19 is present and real. The virus circulates and threatens all the freedoms we have gained. The rules must continue to be respected. The Federation of Albanian Doctors in Europe has turned on the alarm lights of the increase in mortality and the risk of closing the borders with European countries for this year and recommends in its statement.
